Recreation Programs & Events
Gilbert Parks and Recreation offers a variety of enrichment programs for children, teens, and adults that foster human development, education, and socialization. These programs include: special interest, sports lessons/leagues, aquatics programs, outdoor education programs, summer camps, adaptive recreation, special events, and much more.
In addition, the Gilbert Community Center offers a wide variety of classes, activities, and special events to anyone 50+. The programs support today’s active seniors and strive to improve the health and well-being of all community seniors.

Parks and Open Space
Gilbert Parks and Recreation offers over 600 acres of developed parks with amenities such as a skate park, athletic fields, playgrounds, ramadas, dog parks, tennis courts, basketball courts, lakes, and water features.
Bike Safety Awareness
In addition to the Gilbert Parks and Recreation Department, the Foundation also supports Bike Safety Awareness. Partnering with the Gilbert Police Department, the Foundation helps to raise funds for bike helmet giveaways, safety events and more.
